the question
In several different job settings, one interview question has been the same, “where do you get your news?” It was asked of me, and I ask it of every candidate who comes my way. In this era where the headlines hold such great weight, and in a time when the medium you choose says so much about your place in the modern world, the answer to this question speaks volumes. Each interviewee could come up with something, even if it wasn’t a roster impressive enough to qualify him or her for the next round. Based on my own criteria, I’m not sure I could hire Sarah Palin:
election day match-o-matic
Seriously? I mean, look at #2. Not a day over 30, and I've turned into some sort of hyper liberal-conservative extra-planetary hybrid! Anyway, don't forget to vote, and thank goodness I already did and this lethal combination is not humanly possible.

the Sox are having a lottery on their website for the chance to buy monster seats. Enter by Wednesday afternoon, winners of the drawing will be contacted Thursday. One entry per email address, and if you win, remember who tipped you off about it, won't you?
danger, danger
this morning i've been flooded by that virus that appears from an admin address, like nprhelp@npr.org, or (bizarrely) that girl I went ot h.s. with who now works for fox news. it has an attachment that says movie review or something like that. remember kids, don't open the attachment, just delete the email and empty your trash. this PSA has been brought to you by my morning coffee (Chock Full O' Nuts French Roast).
UPDATE: an interesting side effect of all of this is that i can see who has me in their address book.
